Messages are sent to participants as appropriate.
The combination of a Merchants defined messaging products, the addresses defined on a Customer, the data persisted for a participant and the actions within a Business Process all help influence when the platform will send messages to the participants. This creates a complex set of possibilities in what may need to be communicated to a Customer and, each messaging type may come with extra features or limitations. The platform will take care of handling this to provide a great experience for Customers. Generally, you want to configure a Merchant with as many messaging products as possible so there are more channels of communication available to communicate with, as it gives more options to the platform.
To make sure that messaging is making the best of each channel we use the following guidelines.
