# Orbital and Elavon Converge billing postal codes on payments

[Elavon Converge](https://developer.authvia.com/update/reference/payments-ach-elavon): billing addresses with long postal codes, such as Canadian addresses that include extra text in the zip field, no longer fail [Orbital](https://developer.authvia.com/update/reference/payments-creditcard-orbital) and [Elavon Converge](https://developer.authvia.com/update/reference/payments-creditcard-elavon) card and ACH payments with gateway field-length errors. Authvia shortens postal codes to each provider's limit before the payment is sent, so you can keep collecting from customers whose addresses do not fit a nine-character zip.

* Elavon card and ACH payments no longer reject billing addresses when the zip field exceeds nine characters.
* Orbital card payments apply the same postal code shortening so long billing zips do not block authorization.
